The Community Hub
Our shop space is a community hub that will be an accelerator for learning fabrication skills, such as welding, carpentry, and special effects. Veterans from our previous builds have gone on to work in the trades, the film and television industry, transportation, and the non-profit sector.
The Phoenix
Building the phoenix activates an entire community of people, then lives permanently as a towering, mobile steel sculpture that can go as far as the engine can drive. It is a surreal, beautiful and terrifying beast that lights up any setting it is dropped into.
The Events
The vehicle is a mobile platform for creativity. The phoenix brings fire, sound, and music everywhere it goes, including municipal art events, music festivals, concerts, parades, and museums — adding to the dynamic of the city in which it lives, and anywhere it can drive.
